RN Education Specialist

About the role

This role is critical in the success of staff providing resident care. The education specialist must be able to train home health aides, twice weekly, and determine competency in class time. Additional responsibilities include visiting other assisted living sites in the metro area for assessments, coverage during vacations, or filling leadership positions.

Responsibilities

• Train home health aides twice weekly and assess their competency.
• Visit other assisted living sites in the metro area for assessments, coverage during vacations, or fill leadership positions.
• Assist with determining competency in class time.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license to practice in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living or skilled nursing is a plus.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to train and assess competency.
• Knowledge of assisted living and/or skilled nursing environments.
