RN - ED - Nightshift - Part Time

About the Role

Join an elite team committed to excellence in emergency care, innovation, and compassionate patient-centered service in a fast-paced Emergency Department. This is a part-time nightshift position (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), working 48 hours biweekly.

The Emergency Department is a MIEMSS Designated Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Cardiac Interventional Center, providing advanced emergency care to approximately 72,000 patients annually, including 3,800 trauma cases. The department specializes in the emergency treatment and stabilization of a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, including multi-system trauma, life-threatening medical conditions, general medical-surgical emergencies, orthopedic and neurological injuries, minor trauma, and psychiatric crises for both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma surgeons, and emergency medicine experts to stabilize and treat patients.
• Utilize cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices in emergency and trauma care.
• Participate in specialized training and certification programs, including TNCC and ENPC.
• Engage in a robust forensic nurse program providing care for victims of violence.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or a compact state with "Multi-State Privilege" designation (primary source verification required). Nurses with a "Single State" compact license must obtain a Maryland license.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program™ preferred.
• Basic computer skills and a high level of organization and communication skills.
• Ability to apply professional nursing standards with compassion and empathy.

Pay

New pay range: $35.50 – $58.00 per hour. Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus available.
