About the Role
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Meet all safe expectations of a nurse in a clinical setting.
Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS Provider certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Training within three (3) months of hire or transfer
- Six (6) months of nursing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or above (external candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Acute care experience in critical care
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for approximately 75% of the workday; sitting for approximately 25%.
- Ability to transfer and lift patients of varying weights.
- Dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be free from signs of illness and infections.
