About the role
Piedmont Eastside, Snellville, GA offers a part-time 16 hours per week position, excluding weekends, with a flexible schedule of 6-8 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
- Evaluates developmental age during assessments, treatments, and patient/family education.
- Formulates a plan of care based on collected data and identified needs.
- Ensures the plan of care leads to desired patient outcomes.
- Manages ancillary and support team members, identifying teaching opportunities.
- Documents patient care and concerns in the patient record.
- Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other stakeholders.
- Provides care that is specific to the setting and plan of care.
- Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes.
- Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
- Practices ethically and collaboratively.
- Uses evidence and research to improve practice.
- Works in a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- No experience required for new graduates.
- One year of hospital experience preferred for PRN positions.
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
- ACLS Certification within 180 days.
- PALS Certification within 180 days (for Emergency Department).
- Other certifications as required by specific units.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: No experience required for new graduates.
- Work Experience: One year in a hospital setting preferred for PRN positions.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure; BCLS; ACLS; PALS; other certifications as required.
