About the Role
A registered nurse at Baptist Health is accountable for utilizing the nursing process and the training provided by Baptist Health to provide safe, therapeutic, and compassionate patient care. The nurse is expected to demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking. The RN is responsible for knowing and understanding the policies and processes of the department and the requirements of the organization, and using them in a unified workflow with the rest of the healthcare team to create an exceptional patient experience with the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic, and compassionate patient care.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking in patient care.
- Understand and apply departmental policies and organizational requirements.
- Work collaboratively as a full partner of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Apply basic knowledge and skills to meet the standard of care.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arkansas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Healthcare CPR certification required.
- Some areas may require ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS (training provided).
- Specialty units require and will provide specific specialty education.
- Not actively participating in the Clinical Nurse Advancement Program.
Schedule
Day shift: 06:30 AM – 07:00 PM
Authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
