About the Role
Join our team as a Director of Nursing (DON) to shape the care experience for our residents while guiding and supporting our nursing staff with professionalism, integrity, and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines for all nursing services.
- Lead the nursing team through recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
- Support direct care by assisting on the floor when needed to maintain high-quality care.
- Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure nursing staff have timely access to necessary equipment and supplies.
- Mentor and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Texas.
- Proven leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
- Strong clinical skills and a restorative care approach.
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
