About the Role

Join our team as a Director of Nursing (DON) to shape the care experience for our residents while guiding and supporting our nursing staff with professionalism, integrity, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines for all nursing services.
  • Lead the nursing team through recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Support direct care by assisting on the floor when needed to maintain high-quality care.
  • Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Ensure nursing staff have timely access to necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Texas.
  • Proven leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
  • Strong clinical skills and a restorative care approach.
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
