Role Overview

The Registered Nurse in Neurology 6C provides direct patient care for individuals with head, neck, and spine injuries. The position involves a hybrid role of teaching and clinical duties, primarily functioning as a floor nurse when not instructing students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments
• Develop care plans
• Implement treatments
• Evaluate patient progress across all age groups
• Collaborate with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and care within established nursing guidelines and standards

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree (associate's, diploma, or BSN)
• Hold a current RN license
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC may be required based on the unit
