RN CVOR Operating Room

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to perform open-heart surgeries and manage complex cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment such as tandem heart, balloon pump, and heart-lung machines, as well as hybrid CV suite operations. The nurse will serve as a team leader, collaborating with physicians and staff to develop and execute individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure and BLS certification
• At least 1 year of CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience (preferred)
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage increased workload
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with specialized cardiovascular equipment and procedures
• Adaptability to varying schedules and a high volume of on-call cases
• Capacity to effectively navigate challenging situations while providing compassionate, evidence-based patient care
