About the Role

Provides professional nursing care in ICU and Cardiac Neuro ICU units, adhering to state nursing practice acts and hospital policies. Employs critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document observations. Collaborates as part of a team to achieve unit goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based care to patients.
• Monitor patient status and document observations.
• Coordinate with team members and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing (Associate Degree acceptable with a plan to obtain a Bachelor’s within five years).
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• 2-5 years of critical care nursing experience.
