RN Coordinator - Trauma Program - FT - Days - MRH
Summary
Carefully coordinates the development of performance improvement processes, assists with compliance with internal and external standards and regulations through monitoring and promoting continuous survey readiness for the Memorial Healthcare System Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Services.
Responsibilities
- Consults with members of the care team to ensure effective and efficient patient care and desired patient outcomes.
- Captures, assembles, and maintains required documentation for verification by the Florida Department of Health and American College of Surgeons.
- Maintains awareness of national trends and data to identify opportunities for strategic follow-up and loop closure.
- Serves as a resource for healthcare team members, patients, families and community organizations regarding trauma and acute care surgery.
- Coordinates, implements and maintains quality improvement activities for trauma and acute care surgery service including outcome and cost analysis, preparing benchmark data reports, hospital trauma registry (HTR) system reports and American College of Surgeons (ACS) clinical indicators.
- Affirms community trauma prevention programs, community offerings and clinical education activities.

Additional Job Information
- Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' acute care nursing experience with emphasis on trauma or related field. Preferred Experience: Critical Care Nursing, Trauma Nurse
