RN Coordinator - ER Throughput

Role Overview

The RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput ensures efficient, safe, and patient-centered care in the Emergency Department by coordinating patient placement, triage, EMS handoffs, and transfers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage staffing plans based on patient volume and acuity
• Monitor care transition delays and collaborate on solutions
• Support safety initiatives, quality outcomes, and patient experience
• Partner with physicians and care teams to remove barriers
• Provide clinical guidance and escalation support when necessary

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within specified timeframes
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
