RN Coordinator ER Flow Throughput
Job Summary
Every patient deserves attentive, timely, and well-coordinated care. As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources, you’ll help teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient-centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.
What you will do
- Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
- Making staffing plans aligned with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
- Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
- Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
- Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
- Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree
