Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision for GI nursing staff.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery.
- Cook up staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Promote staff engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve processes and outcomes.
- Support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Address patient, family, and staff concerns professionally and effectively.
Qualifications
- MUST have 3+ years of GI nursing experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Minimum 3 years of GI nursing experience.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- Nursing specialty certification.
- Change management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
Additional Certifications
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., and other unit-specific certifications.
