Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for GI nursing staff.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery.
• Cook up staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members.
• Promote staff engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve processes and outcomes.
• Support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
• Address patient, family, and staff concerns professionally and effectively.

Qualifications

• MUST have 3+ years of GI nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Minimum 3 years of GI nursing experience.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Nursing specialty certification.
• Change management experience.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.

Additional Certifications

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., and other unit-specific certifications.
