Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Full-time Days

About the role

Directs assigned nursing personnel, serves as a resource person and consultant. Oversees nursing care, implements hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives. Maintains approved standards of patient care, collaborates with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Ensures timely and accurate documentation using EPIC, interprets assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry, ensures medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately, promotes continuous quality improvement, and instructs and counsels patients/families.

Responsibilities

• Maintains approved standards of patient care, collaborates with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interprets assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Safeguards medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promotes continuous quality improvement.
• Instructs and counsels patients/families.

Requirements

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• Certified ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• CRRN preferred.

Pay

• $15,000 sign-on bonus.
