RN Clinical Nursing Director

Location: Marina del Rey, CA

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, standard business hours; flexibility based on case volume and staffing needs

Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center

Summary

Seeking an experienced RN Clinical Nursing Director to provide hands‑on clinical leadership and oversight for nursing and perioperative services. This role focuses on clinical leadership, OR workflow, quality, compliance, team development, and patient care. Experienced Charge Nurses, OR Managers, Lead RNs, or similar OR leaders ready to transition into a Nursing Director role are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing and perioperative services.
• Oversee OR workflow and daily case coordination.
• Provide hands‑on clinical support and assist with staff coverage as needed.
• Circulate cases as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and medical device representatives.
• Support Total Joint Replacement patient flow and outcomes.
• Lead QAPI and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, AAAHC, and regulatory requirements.
• Support infection prevention and emergency preparedness.
• Promote teamwork and cross‑training across OR and Pre‑op/PACU.
• Support a collaborative, high‑quality clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license.
• BSN.
• Strong clinical and nursing leadership experience.
• Ability and willingness to work hands‑on in the OR.
• Preferred ASC DON experience.
• OR leadership experience.
• Orthopedic and/or spine experience.
• MSN.
• Experience with accreditation, quality initiatives, or regulatory readiness.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
