Role
Our newly launched Central Staffing Office is a dynamic, system-wide internal staffing pool to support UNC Medical Center and UNC Rex Campuses. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise where it’s needed most and provide hands-on care in 2 high-impact clinical areas: Acute Care (Med-Surg & ED Holding) and Critical Care.
Position Details
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Shifts: 8-hour or 12-hour options
Pay: Based on experience + $8/hour premium, plus applicable shift differentials

Responsibilities
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process across UNC Health hospital settings.
The Clinical Nurse will float to a minimum of four UNC Hospital locations with the ability to float between at least two acuity levels of care or specialties.
Education Requirements
Graduation from a school of professional nursing
If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Other relevant life support credentials based upon clinical level of care (i.e. ACLS or NRP, dependent upon clinical grouping assignment)
Professional Experience Requirements
Five (5) years of nursing experience
