UNC REX Labor and Delivery OR at UNC Health Rex in Raleigh, NC, has opportunities for RN Clinical Nurse II and RN Clinical Nurse IV (Team Lead).
Salary Range:
- RN II: $34.22 - $48.38 per hour (Hiring Range)
- RN IV: $38.51 - $58.82 per hour (Hiring Range)
Schedule: Full-time
UNC REX Labor and Delivery OR
This unit cares for patients during labor, delivery, and recovery post-childbirth. It also cares for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients. The unit includes a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays. Nurses circulate during C-sections, working with physicians and support from nursing assistants and surgical technicians.
The unit partners with many private practice OB/GYNs and CNMs. UNC REX has a dedicated team of OB Hospitalists who provide fast care and assessment or emergency services for patients during pregnancy or labor and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Assess, monitor, and adjust care plans based on patient needs
Support staff development, education, and a positive team environment
Contribute to staffing, operational efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives
Promote evidence-based practice and continuous clinical excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Active NC RN license & BCLS certification
Specialty certification within probationary period
Minimum 1 year RN experience
