Summary of Role: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, managing, and providing nursing care during a patient's hospital stay, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and execute individualized care plans. Key Responsibilities: Performing comprehensive assessments, establishing and evaluating care plans, administering medications, coordinating patient care, documenting changes, and providing education to patients and families. Ensuring patient safety, infection control, and adherence to policies. Demonstrating professional accountability, effective communication, teamwork, and cultural competence. Providing age-appropriate, high-quality, cost-effective care while maintaining confidentiality and service excellence. Participating in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications and Skills: Valid RN license in applicable states, BLS certification, strong clinical skills, excellent communication, adaptability, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered care. Knowledge of safety, infection control, and performance improvement standards is essential.
