Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments, including post-operative evaluations.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, lab data, and physician orders.
- Administer medications, monitor IV therapies, and document interventions accurately.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and involve families in decision-making.
- Navigate patient condition changes, respond appropriately, and communicate effectively with the team.
- Deliver specialized high-risk care, including restraint and pain management, following protocols.
- Identify and report abuse or neglect, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain professional accountability, participate in quality improvement, and stay current with evidenced-based practices.
- Ensure age-appropriate care and promote cost-effective resource use.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, professionalism, and respect for colleagues and patients.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid RN license in applicable states with BLS certification.
- Ability to perform clinical skills, adapt to changing demands, and uphold safety protocols.
- Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and cultural competency.
