The RN Clinical Leader provides leadership and coordinates the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the program services within their area of responsibility. They ensure quality, service, and satisfaction goals are met, monitor efficient utilization of resources and financial performance, and maintain productivity standards. Day-to-day, they collaborate with department leaders to manage the daily operations of their department.
Responsibilities
- 75% Clinical Operation/Supervisory Duties:
- Ensures quality, services, and satisfaction to clients served.
- Serves as a direct care provider when needed, maintaining recognized standards of clinical practice and patient care.
- Coordinates the integration of the interdisciplinary team to achieve effective patient outcomes, efficient resource utilization, and patient satisfaction.
- Directs, delegates, and/or engages in the treatment of patients and families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Serves as a central resource person and maintains open and accurate communication for all customers.
- Creates efficient schedules for interdisciplinary staff and patients to ensure appropriate staff/skill mix.
- Establishes systems, processes, standards, and structure in collaboration with leadership to ensure smooth operations, safety, patient satisfaction, and effective service delivery.
- 10% Staff Development & Recruitment:
- Participates in recruitment activities and staff development.
- Acts as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary staff and facilitates learning.
- Appraises staff performance, provides feedback, goal setting, and ongoing supervision.
- Ensures appropriate orientation and communicates with staff through meetings, memos, and updates.
- 10% Quality & Process Improvement:
- Participates in unit and hospital-based committees to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Performs departmental audits and rounds daily on patients and/or associates to observe patient experience and associate satisfaction.
- Provides real-time feedback and coaching to associates on meeting patient and family needs.
- Acts as a communication liaison for students and vendor representatives.
- 5% Budget & Resource Management:
- Assists in maintaining and identifying budget needs through cost-effective practice.
- Ensures cost-efficient use of department resources.
- As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required).
- Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
- BSN required at 5 years of employment.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
Schedule
- Day shift.
- Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
