About the role

The Clinical Education & Quality Improvement Lead supports clinical competency, performance management, and ongoing professional development of Amergis Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). The role serves as an on-site educator and liaison to ensure compliance with facility-specific policies, regulatory requirements, and facility standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains expert-level knowledge of all clinical workflows, policies, and expectations to effectively train agency nurses
  • Participates in the facility’s new-employee orientation and collaborates closely with designated clinical leaders to ensure full understanding of all policies and procedures
  • Serves as Clinical Liaison for Knowledge Gaps - Acts as the primary liaison between Amergis and facility leadership to gather detailed information on identified knowledge or skill gaps
  • Participates in Internal clinical review processes
  • Conducts Pre-Submission Clinical Interviews - Interviews nursing applicants to evaluate clinical strengths, critical-thinking ability, and alignment with the skillsets required
  • Supports first-day orientation experience
  • Develops Preparatory Educational Resources - In conjunction with facility and Amergis clinical leadership creates and refines educational materials that prepares clinicians for the unique expectations of the environment
  • Serves as an accessible resource for active clinicians who need clarification, coaching, or continuing education
  • Facilitates Diplomatic Issue Resolution - Works collaboratively and diplomatically with facility leadership to address concerns raised by Amergis clinicians, including situations where staff feel mistreated or unsupported. Maintains professional, solutions-focused communication
  • Maintains Accurate Documentation and Tracking - Partners with the account management team to complete required facility trackers. Documents re-education efforts, follow-up actions, and clinician progress according to approved standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state where practicing
  • Minimum two (2) years psychiatric or related clinical experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years in education, training, or leadership preferred
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
