Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily operations, staff coordination, and clinical procedures within the Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory
- Serving as a resource for staff, physicians, patients, and families to ensure quality patient care and safety
- Managing staff schedules, case loads, and departmental statistics
- Supporting regulatory compliance and quality initiatives
- Performing or assisting with complex clinical procedures
- Monitoring patient status through EKG and hemodynamic assessments
- Maintaining infection control standards
- Verifying patient identity, documentation, and orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and SCIP initiatives
- Coordinating patient education
- Supervising staffing and inventory
- Assisting with personnel orientation, performance evaluations, and department protocol development
- Serving as a first contact for employee concerns and supporting a collaborative, patient‑centered environment
Requirements
- Registered nurse
- Proficiency in sterile techniques
- Medication administration
- Moderate sedation
- Understanding of diagnostic equipment
- Critical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina
- Flexibility to meet departmental needs
