RN Clinical Coordinator - Cath Lab

About the role

The Clinical Coordinator Cath Lab is a registered nurse responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff schedules, and supporting clinical procedures in the cardiovascular catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and cardiovascular specialist functions, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
• Perform and assist with clinical procedures, utilizing specialized equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide direct patient care, including preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care, considering age-specific needs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, infection control, and quality initiatives.
• Manage staffing, supplies, and inventory; oversee documentation, quality control, and patient safety protocols.
• Coordinate education for patients, families, and staff; support staff recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluations.
• Serve as a resource/support to staff, physicians, and other departments, fostering collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered nurse licensure with proficient clinical skills in cardiovascular procedures.
• Strong critical thinking, sterile technique, medication administration, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead teams, and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to handle call rotations and long cases.
• Knowledge of infection control, regulatory standards, and quality improvement processes.
