About the Role

The RN Clinic, Urology provides specialized nursing support for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions within a collaborative outpatient setting. This role performs focused clinical assessments, assists with in-clinic procedures, and coordinates diagnostic testing and follow-up care to support accurate diagnosis and effective symptom management. The position is part of a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment where collaboration and shared accountability contribute to safe, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform urology-focused assessments, administer ordered treatments, and assist providers with cystoscopy preparation, catheterizations, uroflow studies, and minor procedures.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, referrals, and follow-up visits to ensure timely and comprehensive urologic evaluation and treatment.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, procedure findings, and education in the electronic health record in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, catheter care, hydration, lifestyle considerations, and symptom monitoring to support improved outcomes.
• Collaborate with providers, schedulers, and interdisciplinary teams to respond to patient concerns, support complex care needs, and facilitate safe transitions across care settings.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, maintain competency in point-of-care testing, and complete required training to support urology-specific clinical practice.
