Urology RN Clinic

About the Role

As our Urology Clinic RN, you will provide professional nursing services, focusing on high-quality patient care consistent with our standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise is vital in delivering specialized urological care.

Every day you will directly care for clinic patients, assessing, coordinating, triaging, evaluating, and delegating to the care team. You'll educate and consult with patients, families, and staff, implementing interventions for optimal care. You will apply critical thinking to patient care decisions (within scope), integrating resources and data, and utilizing staff efficiently. You'll competently manage patient needs in a provider's absence, accountable for care quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients, including diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures within your scope of license and established procedures.
• Independently triage nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; address complex, urgent, or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
• Perform a variety of patient assessment and care tests (e.g., EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness) following established protocols.
• Make independent wound assessments and perform complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vacs; remove sutures or staples after wound assessment by a Provider.
• Insert and/or remove tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally-inserted central catheters (PICC); apply splints/braces.
• Instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensure patients or families understand follow-up and referral information.
• Inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies, and return practitioners’ phone messages.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required upon hire).
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington state (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).

Qualifications

To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment, critical thinking, and advanced urology nursing skills. Excellent communication for patient and team interaction, a commitment to quality care, safety, and efficient resource use are essential.

• One year of RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care RN work experience (preferred).

Pay

$46.69 - $88.29 per hour.
