Urology RN Clinic

Job Summary

As our Urology Clinic RN, you will provide professional nursing services, focusing on high‑quality patient care consistent with our standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise is vital in delivering specialized urological care. You will directly care for clinic patients, assessing, coordinating, triaging, evaluating, and delegating to the care team. You’ll educate and consult with patients, families, and staff, implementing interventions for optimal care while applying critical thinking to patient‑care decisions within scope.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients, including performing diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures in accordance with training, licensure, and established protocols.
• Independently triage nursing situations according to standing orders and protocols, and address complex, urgent, or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
• Perform a variety of patient assessment and care tests (e.g., EKG, spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color‑blindness testing) following established guidelines.
• Conduct independent wound assessments, provide complex wound care and dressing changes, place or change wound vacs, and remove sutures or staples after provider assessment.
• Insert and/or remove tubes, drains, urinary catheters, and peripherally‑inserted central catheters (PICC); apply splints and braces as needed.
• Instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests, ensuring understanding of follow‑up and referral information.
• Inform patients of lab results, transmit prescriptions to pharmacies, and return practitioners’ phone messages.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR certification.
• Preferred: one year RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute‑care RN experience.

Pay Range

$46.69 – $88.29 per hour
