RN Charge Operating Room

Responsibilities

• Coverage of patient care in the operating room
• Mentorship and resource provision for the OR team
• Assistance in the OR as needed
• Facilitation of communication between surgical staff, anesthesiologists, and other departments
• Safety and infection control protocol support
• Development and implementation of policies and procedures for OR efficiency
• Resolution of equipment or instrument issues through coordination or repairs
• Coordination and assistance in Performance Improvement Projects

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred
• Current California RN License
• BLS, ACLS required
• Independent decision-making skills
• Demonstrated clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families, and vendors
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room
• Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of developmental needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Physically able to stand, walk, and maintain varied body motions and positions for long periods of time
• Physically able to move up to 100 lbs.

Pay

Hourly Wage Range: $50.00 - $65.00/hour
