RN - Charge Nurse - Stepdown/Critical Care

About the role

A nursing leader who coordinates staffing, ensures quality patient care, and supervises staff during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assign, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff; contribute to performance evaluations.
• Assess patient needs and develop appropriate care assignments.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to achieve quality outcomes.
• Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address issues affecting outcomes.
• Respond to patient care complaints.
• Participate in hiring, training, and staff development.
• Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• At least one year of registered nurse experience.
• Physical ability for standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and performing various movements.
• Licenses and certifications: BLS, RN license, and additional life support certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) depending on the state.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a clinical setting with a focus on patient care and staff supervision.
• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
