RN Charge Nurse, Same Day Surgery, Full time, Days

About the Role

Provides direct patient care and charge nurse duties. The primary nursing responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Standards of professional performance required include ethics, education/competency, quality practice, effective communication, leadership skills, collaboration, and evidence-based practice/research utilization.

Charge nurse duties include assessment of patient and staff needs, coordination of care delivery and patient flow, and serving as a role model and resource. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Charge nurse duties: assess patient and staff needs, coordinate care delivery and patient flow
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff
• Identify safety concerns and implement measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program
• Two years of prior experience in an acute care facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical certifications for applicable units (e.g., ACLS, NRP, PALS)

Pay

$52.83–$87.99 per hour
