RN - Charge Perioperative, Surgery (Full-Time, Days)
Compensation Range: $61.52 - $83.06 per hour, based on applicable experience.

About the Role
The Charge Nurse is a licensed professional who provides unit-specific management leadership, including first-point-of-contact supervision, direct patient care, patient and staff education, and emotional support and education of families and the community. This role aligns with the mission and philosophy, standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Health.
The Charge Nurse collaborates with physicians, interprets the medical plan to staff members, directs performance, and supervises assigned staff. They also assist the next level of management in directing patient care and supporting families.
Requirements
Minimum
- One year of experience in a Perioperative environment OR one year of RN-Charge experience
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
- PALS certification within 1 year of employment
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
- Two or more years of Critical Care experience
- Perioperative charge nurse or relief charge nurse experience
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification

- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and the public

- Willingness to participate in continuing education programs, unit-based QI task forces, and preceptor programs
- Ability to serve as a preceptor for students and new employees, act as a department resource, and model positive behavior
- Proficiency at intermediate and advanced levels, meeting competency requirements
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
