RN Charge Nurse - Med/Surg - Night Shift

About the role

This role involves providing leadership and coordination of nursing staff to ensure quality patient care and achievement of clinical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assigning, directing, and monitoring nursing and support staff during shifts, including performance evaluations.
• Assessing patient care needs and developing appropriate care assignments.
• Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Evaluating patient care effectiveness and addressing issues impacting outcomes.
• Handling patient care complaints through established channels.
• Contributing to hiring, training, and staff development.
• Maintaining a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• At least one year of registered nurse experience.
• Valid RN license (state or compact).
• BLS certification.

Physical demands

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, vision, and hearing.
• Occasional patient handling and movement.
