About the role
The Interventional Radiology Charge Nurse serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team, assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. They are a resident expert in the clinical and technical aspects of Cardiovascular/Interventional. They independently function during diagnostic and intervention procedures without supervision. They assume room charge, team leader charge, and proctorship of team members when assigned by the Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures under the direction of the physician.
- Assumes room charge, team leader charge, and proctorship of team members when assigned by the Manager.
- Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Requirements
- RN license is required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Emergency Department, or Critical Care.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
