RN - Registered Nurse - IR

About the role

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse assists in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Assists in the preparation of patients for procedures, including pre-procedure education and post-procedure care.
• Monitors patient vital signs and reports changes to the physician.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Nursing Education.
• Experience required is 1 year in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Emergency Department or Critical Care; or 2 years Tele/Progressive Care.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
