About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Grand Strand Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific requirements of your department. Aligning with state and specialty scope and standards, you will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will serve as a patient and family advocate, supporting the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record thoroughly and timely.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, patient status, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and self-management techniques.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
• Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic patient treatment plans that promote recovery.

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
• Registered Nurse (RN) Diploma or degree
