Responsibilities
- Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures.
- Has thorough knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintains it.
- Administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
- Provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
- Administers sedation for patients.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases.
- Provides guidance to fellow Cath lab/EP lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
- 4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience.
- Current Georgia RN license, RCIS, or RCES.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proficient in scrubbing, sedating, circulating, and monitoring.
- Proficient in multi-specialty procedure.
