Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to physicians in performing invasive advanced cardiac procedures.
- Displays extensive knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintains its upkeep.
- Administers both direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
- Provides sedation for patients undergoing procedures.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases, offering guidance to Cath lab/EP lab techs on the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory.
- Performs a combination of higher-level work such as Cath, EP, and/or Vascular.
Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience
- MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current Georgia RN license, RCIS or RCES
- BCLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in scrubbing, sedating, circulating, and monitoring.
- Also proficient in multi-specialty procedures.
