RN Care Center PRN

About the role

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse to work at their Care Center in Pinellas County.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs
• Provide preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit
• Utilize assessment, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and enhance the quality of life
• Supervise the LPN and/or aide for the delivery of patient care in the GIP environment
• Report to the Patient/Family Care Coordinator/Care Center Manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent bedside nursing experience
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License
• One (1) year experience in an acute or post acute care setting preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months to one year related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

• Experience in caring for terminally ill patients or those with life-threatening illnesses
