RN - Cardiovascular Care Unit (Intermediate)

About the role

The registered nurse (RN) position involves providing comprehensive care on a fast-paced, 18-bed cardiac unit specializing in arrhythmias, heart failure, and interventions for patients aged 18 and older.

Responsibilities

• Performing assessments, managing cardiac drips, post-procedure care, discharge teaching, and admissions.
• Developing and updating individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Ensuring patient and staff safety, maintaining documentation, and adhering to departmental standards.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members such as charge nurses, case managers, and therapists.
• Utilizing nursing skills and equipment like IV pumps, bedside monitors, and cardiac monitoring devices.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• A high school diploma or GED
• Experience in cardiac care preferred
