Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Care Unit (Intermediate)

Role Overview

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a designated group of patients, providing comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• ACLS certification within 1 year
• BLS certification within 30 days
• High school diploma/GED
• Associate's degree
• Prior work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform unit-specific duties, implementing procedures and theories related to practice area
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care for team use
• Conduct initial patient assessments, develop and modify care plans based on patient and family needs
• Ensure safety by reporting hazards and incidents, communicate effectively, and offer constructive feedback
• Identify learning needs, participate in departmental competencies, and maintain a clean work environment
• Engage in hourly patient rounding and proactively assist internal and external customers
