RN - Cardiovascular Care Unit (Intermediate)

About the Role

Seeking an experienced RN with at least 1 year in an inpatient hospital setting for a fast-paced cardiac unit. Unit has 18 beds and cares for patients aged 18+ with cardiac conditions such as arrhythmias, CHF, pacemakers, ablations, and MI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop and modify care plans
• Manage cardiac drips
• Perform post-procedure care
• Discharge teaching and admissions
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure patient and staff safety

Skills & Equipment

• Proficiency in assessment, IV management, and cardiac monitoring
• Use of IV pumps, bedside monitors, oxygen, and ambulation aids

Team & Resources

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including charge nurses, case managers, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy
• Participate in hourly rounding
• Support a team-focused environment

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• ACLS within 1 year
• BLS within 30 days
• High school diploma/GED or Associate's Degree
