RN Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes the mission of Northern Arizona Healthcare by coordinating care for patients and their families.
• Provides direct care, educates patients and families, and plans for patient discharge.
• Follows the nursing process (assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to deliver care.
• Leads and mentors ancillary personnel, serves as a preceptor, and participates in the healthcare team.
• Adheres to the ANA Scope of Practice, Code of Ethics, and specialty standards.

Education

• Creates and sustains a learning environment through evidence-based practice and research.
• Focuses on personal development and engages in professional interactions with peers and students.
• Collaborates with peers and health care providers, participates in in-services and educational seminars, and mentors colleagues and students.

Compliance/Safety

• Adheres to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety, as well as hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation, reports safety incidents, and performs work safely.
• Maintains appropriate clinical competencies for assigned roles.
