RN Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Affirms the mission of Northern Arizona Healthcare by coordinating care for patients and their families.
• Provides direct care, educates patients and families, and plans for discharge.
• Follows the nursing process (assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, evaluating) to deliver care.
• Leads and mentors ancillary personnel, serves as a preceptor, and participates in healthcare teams.
• Adheres to the ANA Scope of Practice, Code of Ethics, and specialty standards.

Education

• Participates in creating and sustaining a learning environment.
• Focuses on personal development and engages in professional interactions.
• Collaborates with peers and participates in in-services and educational seminars.
• Mentors and educates colleagues and students.

Compliance/Safety

• Adheres to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety.
• Stays current with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Reports safety-related incidents through Midas/RDE tool and attends safety training programs.
• Maintains a safe work environment and monitors for potential safety issues.
