About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac Operating Room (OR) and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) experience to provide intraoperative support and assist in OR procedures. This role requires CNOR certification and the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts with day, evening, or night rotation. Two years of experience in a Level 1 trauma OR is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intraoperative cardiac RNFA support and assist in OR procedures.
  • Lead sterile technique and instrument handling for cardiac cases.
  • Maintain stringent infection control standards and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate pre-op planning and intraoperative case flow with the surgical team.
  • Document procedures, outcomes, and perioperative data accurately in real time.
  • Collaborate with the OR team to optimize throughput and reduce turnover times.
  • Assist in device selection and implant-related tasks under surgeon guidance.
  • Demonstrate continuous professional development and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Provide perioperative patient and family education within scope of practice.
  • Support performance metrics tracking and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in pipeline-based territory planning and activity reporting.

Requirements

  • RN with current cardiac OR RNFA credential or eligibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in intraoperative cardiac RNFA support and instrument handling.
  • Ability to lead sterile technique and maintain strict infection control standards.
  • Experience in pre-op planning coordination and intraoperative case flow management.
  • Proficiency in accurate real-time documentation of perioperative data and outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration skills to optimize OR throughput and reduce turnover.
  • Ability to assist in device selection and implant-related tasks under surgeon guidance.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
  • Experience providing perioperative patient and family education within scope of practice.
  • Ability to work in a growth-oriented, metrics-driven environment with personal accountability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary surgical teams.
  • Willingness to participate in pipeline-based territory planning and activity reporting.
  • Reliable availability for OR scheduling in an on-site, contract role.

Schedule

  • 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts.
  • Day, evening, or night rotation.
