About the role
Join the UW Health Breast Center, accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and care for inspiring patients. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Breast Medical Oncology Clinic, you will:
- Deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary, coordinated care for all breast patients through comprehensive and personalized patient-centered care.
- Work in partnership with breast cancer patients and families through prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
- Provide patient education and coordinate care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast conditions.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes genetic counselors, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, and advanced practice providers.
- Use targeted assessment skills to evaluate patients during visits and via telephone triage.
Schedule
- 100% FTE, Monday – Friday with hours between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.
- Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 6 months of RN experience required; ambulatory, oncology, chemotherapy, or relevant inpatient experience preferred.
- Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state within the licensure compact (upon hire).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (upon hire).
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
