Contract-to-hire position located in McKinney, TX.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay
$38–$45 per hour
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, coordinate, assess, and support continuity of care in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Evaluate health status by discussing the patient’s current condition and reviewing medical history.
- Identify patient and family needs and deliver education and instructional resources as appropriate.
- Offer psychosocial assistance to patients and their families.
- Support clinical workflows and facilitate patient care activities.
- Handle patient medication refill requests received through the pharmacy phone line and document details in the patient record.
- Coordinate and arrange consultations, pre-procedure testing, diagnostic examinations, referrals, and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Review and prioritize patient phone calls as needed and record relevant information in the patient's medical chart.
- Serve as a liaison between the patient/family and interdisciplinary care team while coordinating patient-related services when required.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Oncology experience preferred
- ICU or ER background
- 3+ years of nursing experience
- BLS certification
