Oncology Clinic RN
We are adding a Full Time Oncology Clinic RN to our team at Barry Road, Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm — no nights or weekends. This position can float to our Overland Park, Plaza, and Lee's Summit locations.
About the role
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse in their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high-volume, fast-paced Magnet-designated clinic that is INCP and QOPI Certified.
Responsibilities
- Phone triage and scheduling emergent-need appointments
- Patient follow-up calls
- Patient education on procedures and processes
- Serve as subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units
- Regularly meet with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments
- Care for patients with long-term treatment processes
- Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care
- Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
Requirements
- 2 years of applicable experience
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Registered Nurse license
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Organized, team-oriented, and adaptable
- Strong relationship-building skills and compassion for patient care
