Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary, coordinated care for all breast patients through comprehensive and personalized patient-centered care.
  • Work in partnership with breast cancer patients and families through prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
  • Provide patient education and coordinate care for patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast conditions.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes genetic counselors, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers.
  • Use targeted assessment skills to assess patients during visits and via telephone triage.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • Required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Required 6 months of RN experience
  • Preferred Relevant Inpatient RN experience
  • Preferred Ambulatory experience
  • Preferred Relevant oncology experience
  • Preferred Chemotherapy experience
  • Preferred Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills
  • Upon Hire Required Current CPR/BLS certification

Qualifications

  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact
  • Preferred Certification in specialty area of practice

Schedule

Monday – Friday with hours between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends. No holidays. No call. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Location

You will work at the University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center both located in Madison, WI.
