Summary of Job Duties
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Behavioral Health Service Line Walker Family Clinic. The RN will primarily provide support for the physicians and act as a liaison between the patient, the front office staff, and the physicians. A successful candidate will have a clinical background preferably in psychiatry or behavioral health. Primary duties will be to triage to determine the urgency of patient care, handle all crisis calls, answer medication questions in collaboration with physicians, take vital signs, review lab work and present exceptions to physicians, provide clinical assessment for initial call backs and other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will have good communication skills, good time management and priority management skills, ability to prioritize and work with autonomy, good organizational skills, familiarity with psychiatric medication and interactions, and clinical experience with psychiatric patients and/or environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Current and valid Registered Nurse License in the state of Arkansas
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic and accountability
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
- Current BLS
