Position Summary

Sign‑on bonus – Experienced RNs. Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence‑based practice, focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. All hires after July 2012 must have a BSN or, if holding an Associate’s degree or diploma, be actively enrolled in a BSN program and complete it within 5 years of hire (or internal RN promotion date). An Associate’s degree plus 2 years of specialty experience may be accepted in lieu of a BSN.
• Experience: Minimum one year Med/Surg or related nursing experience; preferred previous acute‑care Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Licensure & Certifications: Current NJ RN licensure; American Heart Association CPR certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and CPI training within 6 months of hire (CPI training provided by HMC). Preferred Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or other related specialty certification.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation upon hire; stroke training (8 hours per year); Sexual Assault and Trauma training within 1 year of hire. Preferred Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) recommendation.

Pay

Hiring range: $43.50 – $63.25 hourly (base compensation may vary based on experience, education, internal equity, and specialty).

Schedule

Full‑time, 8 AM – 8 PM day shift.
