RN - Assistant Nurse Manager

Role Overview The Assistant Nurse Manager provides leadership in planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care within a unit, collaborating with the Nursing Manager. Key responsibilities include managing fiscal, human resources, risk, and operational functions, contributing to strategic planning, and maintaining 24-hour accountability. Key Duties Develops and improves care delivery models to enhance patient, family, staff, and provider satisfaction.Ensures compliance with nursing practice acts, regulatory, and professional standards.Promotes transparency, collaboration, and accountability.Optimizes resource allocation and manages a multidisciplinary team delivering competent, compassionate care. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting.Proficiency in nursing processes, treatment administration, diagnostics, and patient education.Effective communication, problem-solving, multitasking, delegation, and collaboration skills.Supervisory skills for staff and shift coordination.Educational requirements include a graduate of an accredited nursing program; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.Minimum licensure: RN and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Additional Skills Knowledge of patient documentation and bed management systems.Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
